Review: TurtleSkin SnakeArmor Snake Bite Protection

What isTurtleSkin?

TurtleSkin is a family of new patented materials that are woven with high-strength fibers to be very thin, yet very protective.

Hunting clothes constructed with TurtleSkin help keep you safe from snake bites, thorns, briar, and other sharp threats encountered outdoors.
NASA chose a TurtleSkin system for the critical fabric used in the crash bags for their exploration missions to Mars, including the successful Mars Pathfinder, Spirit, and Opportunity missions.

The spacecrafts went through some of the harshest environments imaginable. Enduring the extreme cold of deep space and the flaming entry into Mars’ atmosphere, the TurtleSkin crash bags allowed the landing modules to bounce as high as 50 feet before safely skidding to a stop on the planet’s jagged surface.
This space age technology is now used to provide an exceptional level of protection and performance in a wide range of activities, even if you’re planning on staying a little closer to home.

Most hunting clothes made to prevent snake bites are heavy, stiff, and bulky. TurtleSkin SnakeArmor hunting pants, chaps, and camo gaiters are one-third the weight of other hunting garments, yet they repel the bites of large venomous snakes.

TurtleSkin SnakeArmor’s patented weave of high-strength ballistic fibers is waterproof and windproof. So you can enjoy hunting and not worry about snake bites, rain, or chilling winds.
TurtleSkin SnakeArmor Hunting Clothing has been tested with live rattlesnakes, successfully repelling both their strikes and venom.

We at coonhunterssupply.com  have tested the pants. They are made with 6 oz material. Very light weight, comfortable, and water proof. Thorns, brairs, cactus and even fences were taken with ease. I wear these pants on all my hunting trips or any time i am off the beaten path. I find no wear showing after lots of hunting. I think this may be the future of snake protection. I did not see any snakes. I guess the SnakeArmor must keep them away?
